We are now on the hunt for 2D Toonboom Harmony Retakes/Polish Animators who will join us in our quest to create the best possible animated content for our partners.
The start date for this role is in two phases, 10th of June 2024 and a later start of 15th July 2024.
This role is based in our studio in Kilkenny. - NO FREELANCE OPTION
Due to employment time constraints, for this role we will only be able to consider applications from residents within the EU / EU passport holders only.
The role is for a 2D animated feature film directed by John Schafer and Tom Bancroft, with a hybrid mix of traditional and rigged animation.
About the role
The role of 2D Toonboom Harmony Retakes/Polish Animator is to be responsible for both internal and client retakes, to take on polish work from the main team and when/if needed to assist the main team with fresh shot work

What you'll be doing
Retakes:
Revisionist/Polish:
Follow notes on scenes to maximize your abilities and time available for scenes.
Adhere to assigned quotas.
Ensure prompt delivery of the animation retakes scenes to a high quality in a reasonable time agreed to in the schedule.
Deliver technically clearly named and properly layered scenes to the compositing department following established protocols.
Follow production deadlines for the delivery of animation stages.
Communicate any problems to the animation supervisor, production manager and production coordinator.
Communicate progress of work to the animation supervisor, production manager and production coordinator.
Ensure quality and style of show is consistently achieved in animation work and that all notes/retakes are added.
Read and follow the notes properly from Shotgrid as assigned by the animation director or retakes received from our partners.
You may be asked to animate shots from scratch if production needs change.
The above is not exhaustive and from time to time you may be asked to carry out other tasks.
