Ian Smith

Ian Smith is an experienced technology leader with a diverse background spanning over two decades. Currently, Ian serves as the host of The Baseline Podcast, focusing on the practical implications of AI, while also co-founding Lighthouse Technology to enhance operational efficiency through data and AI. As the founder and CEO of Gospel Technology, Ian has developed decentralized data infrastructure prioritizing security and privacy. Additional ventures include establishing Kingwood Estate, an English Sparkling wine producer, and previously holding significant roles at IBM, Butterfly Software, Dell, and Deutsche Bank, where Ian specialized in data management, cloud technology, and enterprise solutions. Ian holds a BSc in Geology from The University of Sheffield.
