Darius Bunandar

Chief Scientist at Lightmatter

Darius Bunandar is the Founder and Chief Scientist at Lightmatter. Prior to that, Darius was an intern at Sandia National Laboratories and a Research Collaborator at Caltech, where Darius was a member of the Simulating eXtreme Spacetime (SXS) collaboration. Darius also worked as a Blast Effects Co-op Engineer at Baker Engineering and Risk Consultants, Inc., and as a Research Assistant at The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg. Darius holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Physics and Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
