Lead Systems Engineer - Hardware at Lightmatter

KC Liu started their career in 2008 as a Graduate Student Researcher Program Fellow at NASA Glenn Research Center. KC then worked as a Graduate Research Associate at Arizona State University from 2007 to 2011. After that, they became a Research Scientist at Arizona State University from 2011 to 2012. KC also worked as a Postgraduate Research Fellow at the U.S. Army Research Laboratory from 2012 to 2013. KC then joined Intel in 2013 as a Technologist / Sr Staff Packaging Engineer, where they covered various areas of packaging and developed expertise in thermal, mechanical, and electrical packaging. Currently, KC is working at Lightmatter as a Lead Systems Engineer - Hardware since 2023.

KC Liu earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering from the University of Arizona in 2007. During the same period, they achieved a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution. Subsequently, KC Liu pursued higher education at Arizona State University, where they obtained a Master's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering in 2010, followed by a PhD in Aerospace Engineering in 2011. In terms of additional certifications, KC Liu completed courses in ASME Y14.5 GD&T and Metrology Capability and Analysis at Intel Corporation in 2014. They also obtained training in Abaqus Scripting from Dassault Systèmes Deutschland GmbH - SIMULIA.
