Michael English

Michael English has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Michael started their career in 1996 as a Linguist/Analyst in the Australian Army, where they worked until 2006. From 2003 to 2006, Michael served as a Business Manager at LazyBoyz Group. In 2006, they joined One Village as the Director of Electronic Entertainment/Group IT Director.

In 2008, Michael transitioned to Ericsson, where they held various roles including Customer Project Manager and Business Governance Manager. Michael worked at Ericsson until 2016.

In 2017, Michael joined Google as a Program Manager and served in that role until 2018. Michael then joined Interstellar as a Regional Program Manager in 2018 and stayed with the company until 2019.

In 2016, Michael founded their own company, Hytensity Ltd., where they operated as the Founder.

Michael's most recent positions include Chief of Staff at Lightnet Group, which they started in 2020, and Chief of Staff at EvryNet, where they commenced in 2021 and is expected to end in 2022.

Michael English has a diverse education history. Michael completed their Bachelor of Languages and International Business degree, with a focus on Asian Economics and Mandarin, from Monash University. Prior to this, they earned a Diploma in Linguistics (Javanese) from UNSW in 2002. In the same year, they also obtained an Advanced Diploma in Intermediate Telecommunications Principles from UNSW. Their education journey also includes a Masters degree in Indonesian/Malay Languages and Literatures, which they achieved from UNSW between 1999 and 2002. Additionally, Michael English has obtained a PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.
