Suki Yau

Suki Yau has a varied work experience. In 2015, they worked as an Outreach Demonstrator for the University of Portsmouth. In 2017, they worked as a Research Intern for the University of Wroclaw. In 2018, they worked as a Radiotherapy student for the NHS. In 2019, they worked as a Research Engineer for the Centre for Doctoral Training in Applied Photonics. This role was a multidisciplinary programme designed to allow for doctoral level research while developing a career in industry. In 2020, they worked as a Research Engineer for Lightpoint Medical, providing their with many opportunities to advance practical skills in different disciplines.

Suki Yau has been pursuing a Doctorate in Photonics and Optics at Heriot-Watt University since 2019 and is expected to graduate in 2024. Suki is also currently enrolled in a Master of Business Administration - MBA at Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University, which they began in 2020 and is expected to complete in 2023. Prior to this, they obtained a Master's Degree in Physics from the University of Portsmouth between 2015 and 2019. Suki also attended Parmiter's School from 2007 to 2014, where they studied Physics, Mathematics, Art&Design, and Biology.
