Mitch Olson

Service Provider Sales Director, Western Region at LightRiver Companies

Mitch Olson has a diverse work experience in the telecommunications industry. Starting in 1993, they worked as the Director of Carrier Sales at Electric Lightwave, where they played a key role in establishing an alternative to private line bypass in the Portland market. Mitch later transitioned into a management position and significantly grew the company's carrier business.

In 1998, Mitch joined Enron as the Director of Origination and Network Development. Mitch successfully sold dark fiber for a joint venture between First Point, Touch America, and Vyvx, ultimately contributing to the formation of Enron Broadband.

From 2002 to 2007, Mitch served as the President and Owner of Harbor Communications. Following this, they worked as a Senior Account Manager at Qwest, selling various products to large customers in Oregon and SW Washington.

Mitch then moved on to roles at 360networks and Zayo Group, selling network infrastructure products to local and national carrier customers. At Zayo, they joined through the acquisition of 360networks and continued to excel in their sales role.

At XO Communications, Mitch worked as an Enterprise Account Manager before joining Frontier Communications as an Account Manager. During their time at Frontier, they successfully managed customer accounts for five years.

Most recently, Mitch joined Ziply Fiber as a Carrier Sales Executive and later transitioned to the role of Business and Network Development Manager. Currently, they are employed at LightRiver Companies as the Service Provider Sales Director for the Western Region.

Mitch Olson attended Marist High School, but it is unclear when they started or ended their studies there. Mitch then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance from Oregon State University, graduating in 1987.
