Amir Ish-Shalom

Amir Ish-Shalom has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Amir is currently working as the VP R&D at Lightrun since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Rakuten Viber from 2012 to 2023, holding multiple roles such as CTO/CIO, CISO, and Chief Architect. In this position, they were responsible for the company's technological strategy and vision, managing FinOps, and overseeing the digital transformation of the company. Before that, they held the position of Senior Director of Operations and Chief Architect at Viber, where they managed cloud operations, security, DevOps, and Telco teams, and also oversaw R&D development projects. Amir also served as the Chief Architect at Viber from 2012 to 2018, where they designed and developed a massive scale cloud system with over 1 billion users. Prior to their work at Viber, Amir worked at FST Biometrics as an Engineering Group Manager and Chief Architect from 2008 to 2012. Amir was part of the initial management team and was responsible for managing the development team, developing fraud detection algorithms, and creating a new biometrics engine. Before that, they were the Engineering Manager and Software Development Team Leader at AU10TIX from 2002 to 2008, where they managed R&D teams and led the development of technological systems. Amir started their career as a Software Engineer and Software Team Leader at Motorola and Israeli Military Intelligence, respectively, from 1995 to 2002. Overall, Amir has a wealth of experience in technological strategy, development, management, and architecture across various organizations and industries.

Amir Ish-Shalom completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Software Engineering from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, where they attended from 1998 to 2002.
