Nitya V Sharma

Nitya V Sharma is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as a Solar/Power Systems Engineering Intern at Lightship since May 2023. Nitya holds the position of Mechanical sub-team lead at Cornell Electric Vehicles, overseeing the Mechanical Autonomy subsystem for the Urban Concept Vehicle, aimed at competing in the Shell Eco-Marathon 2024. Previous experience includes an internship at SunEdison, where Nitya designed a solar panel mounting system, and a laboratory assistant role in the School of Applied and Engineering Physics at Cornell University, supporting laser construction projects. Additionally, Nitya has contributed as a Co-Captain of the Cornell Anjali dance team, providing choreography and team leadership. Nitya's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics and Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University, expected to be completed in May 2024.
