Rodney Gagnon has a diverse work experience that spans various industries. Rodney started their career in 2003 as a Product Designer, Developer, and Architect at Revivio, where they led strategic technical initiatives for continuous data protection solutions. In 2006, they founded Kayanta Inc, a digital concierge platform.

Gagnon entered the wine business in 2010 as a Wine Production Intern at Crushpad Bordeaux in France, where they gained experience in all aspects of winemaking. Rodney then joined VINIV Bordeaux as the Director of Operations, providing custom winemaking support and implementing new processes and systems remotely.

In 2011, Gagnon joined Crushpad Sonoma as the Director of Sales and Operations, responsible for the custom wine business. Rodney later served as the Director of Operations at Comstock Wines, where they were involved in launching the winery and managing all aspects of operations.

Gagnon's entrepreneurial spirit led him to found Glasshaus Wine Company in 2013. As the Founder, Winemaker, and Owner, they developed and executed the production, marketing, and sales strategy. Rodney also introduced the concept of Community Supported Agriculture to the wine industry.

In 2015, Gagnon became a founding team member at CiBO Technologies, where they initially served as the Creative Director and later assumed the role of Director of Design. Rodney created product concepts and formed a design team to foster a design thinking culture.

Prior to their current role, Gagnon worked at Lightship, starting as the Director of Software Development in 2019 and then transitioning to the position of Senior Director of Software Engineering and Architecture in 2021.

In addition to their professional experience, Gagnon has also engaged in personal projects, such as designing and developing a Raspberry Pi/OpenSprinklerPi open-source project for automating irrigation and fertigation.

Rodney Gagnon has a diverse education background. Rodney first attended the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth from 1986 to 1990, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Engineering. Later, from 2004 to 2006, they pursued wine studies at Boston University and obtained several certificates in the field. In 2010 and 2011, Rodney enrolled in a Certificate Program at the University of California, Davis. The program focused on winemaking for online learners. Additionally, Rodney has obtained various certifications such as Foundations in Design Thinking, Insights for Innovation, Storytelling for Influence, From Ideas to Action, and Leading for Creativity from IDEO U.
