Chris Rowland

Interim Chief Financial Officer at Lightsource bp

Chris Rowland has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Chris began their career as an Assistant Treasury Accountant at HSBC in 1993 before moving on to GNI Ltd as an Assistant Credit & Risk Manager. In 2000, they joined Johnson Controls Automotive, where they held positions as an Engineering & Program Controller and later as a Ford Brand Financial Manager. From 2007 to 2009, they served as the Financial Controller at Serabi Gold PLC, where they established a new finance team and oversaw financial operations in the Amazonian region of Northern Brazil. Chris then transitioned to roles at CH2M, including Chief Admin Officer & Head of Finance for the Thames Tideway Tunnel Project and CLM Delivery Partner for the London 2012 Olympics Project. Chris then served as the Finance Director at CWind and Global Marine Group before joining Lightsource bp as the Group Finance Director and later as the Interim Chief Financial Officer.

Chris Rowland completed their secondary education at St Peter's High School from 1982 to 1990. Chris then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accountancy & Finance at London Metropolitan University from 1990 to 1993. During their time there, they focused on Corporate Finance, Accountancy, and Economics. In 2006, Chris obtained a certification from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, specifically the ACMA / CGMA qualification.
