Katy McGuinness

Katy McGuinness is an experienced environmental planning professional, currently serving as the Head of Environmental Planning for Northern Europe and the UK & Ireland at Lightsource bp since April 2022. Prior to this role, Katy was the Environment Lead at EDF Energy from July 2014 to May 2022, and held various positions including Project Manager (Environment) at EPA Victoria and Environment Manager (Nuclear New Build) at EDF Energy. Key projects under Katy's management include the East West Link, the Hinkley Point C Project, and the Navitus Bay Wind Park Project. Katy holds a BSc Hons in Marine Biology from Newcastle University and an MRes in Ecology & Environmental Management from the University of York.
