Mariano Melero Sanz

Mariano Melero Sanz has extensive work experience in the renewable energy sector, specifically in solar photovoltaic (PV) projects. Mariano Melero has held various roles throughout their career, starting from an Electronic Technician in the Quality Control Department at Siemens S.A. in 1996. Mariano Melero then worked as a Project Engineer at Ingenia Sistemas for several years, specializing in the automation of industrial processes.

In 2005, Melero Sanz joined Eliop as a Project Engineer and Project Manager, where they gained experience in managing and executing projects. Mariano Melero then worked at Suntechnics-Conergy as a Project Engineer and Project Manager, focusing on the design and construction of large photovoltaic plants.

Melero Sanz later joined SunPower Corporation as a Project Electrical Engineer, primarily responsible for designing electrical systems for PV projects in Italy and creating technical specifications for construction.

In 2011, they joined OST Energy Ltd as a Technical Director, where they managed the Technical Department and provided technical support and advisory services to investors, lenders, and developers in the renewable energy sector, with a specialization in solar PV projects.

Melero Sanz continued their career at RINA (formerly OST Energy) in 2017, where they held the position of Solar Owner's Engineering Manager and Principal Consultant. In this role, they coordinated resources and workload to carry out multiple activities related to solar PV project engineering, construction, and operation. Mariano Melero also provided technical risk assessment and mitigation support to lenders, investors, and developers globally.

Currently, Melero Sanz serves as the Head of Technical at Lightsource BP, a position they assumed in 2019.

From 1998 to 2003, Mariano Melero Sanz attended the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, where they pursued an Engineering degree with a focus on Electrical studies.
