Velina Westbrook

Velina Westbrook, MBA, has extensive experience in the renewable energy industry, with a focus on valuation, analytics, structured finance, and project bid pricing. Velina currently holds the position of Senior Director of Structured Finance at Lightsource bp. Prior to that, they worked at EDF Renewables North America in various roles, including Associate Director and Senior Manager of Valuation & Analytics. In these positions, Velina priced project bids, built analytical tools, and created valuation models. Velina also provided analytical and modeling support for asset management functions and developed internal partnership models. Before joining EDF Renewables, Velina worked at Edison Mission Energy as a Senior Financial Analyst, where they managed financial planning functions for a large coal plant. Velina also gained experience in enterprise resource planning and SAP configuration. Earlier in their career, Velina served as a Financial Analyst at Edison International and Southern California Edison, where they focused on strategic planning, financial forecasting, and conducting various analyses. Velina began their career as a Manufacturing Engineer at Eaton.

Velina Westbrook holds an MBA with a specialization in finance from California State University, Long Beach. Prior to their MBA, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Technical University - Sofia, Bulgaria.
