Aaron Shifman

Aaron Shifman, Ph.D., is a Senior Data Scientist at Lightspeed Commerce since September 2023. Previously, as a Senior Data Scientist at SocïVolta from April 2021 to August 2023, Aaron led a prediction team to develop advanced prediction products and integrated big data technology into the data infrastructure. Earlier roles include a Data Scientist at SocïVolta, where Aaron created forecasting models for electricity trading, and a Postdoctoral Researcher at The Hospital for Sick Children, focusing on AI models for biomedical data processing. Aaron's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Theoretical Neuroscience and a B.Sc. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Ottawa, with research emphasizing machine learning applications in neuroscience and cancer genetics.
