Johann Cornelius de Wet

Johann Cornelius de Wet has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. In 2021, they began working as a Project Design Engineer at LightWare Optoelectronics (Pty) Ltd, where they were responsible for managing and continuously improving the New Product Introduction (NPI) process for the design & development of innovative laser rangefinder products. In 2022, they became the Head of Business Development at Libertas Business Institute. From 2019 to 2021, they were an Aeronautical Engineer & Certifying Officer at AeroStruct Consulting. In 2019, they were a Mechanical & System Project Engineer at SIM WORKS. In 2018, they were a Mechanical Design Engineer at ASTRA Operations. From 2016 to 2018, they were a Mechanical Design Engineer for Paramount Aerospace Systems and a Mechanical Engineering Internship at Paramount Group. From 2014 to 2016, they were a Workshop Assistant at the University of Pretoria and a Vacation Student at Aerosud.

Johann Cornelius de Wet attended St Alban's College from 2007 to 2010, where they obtained a High School degree. Johann Cornelius then attended the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria from 2012 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Johann Cornelius also obtained various certifications, including an Occupational Health and Safety Programme for OHS Representatives from Continuing Education at University of Pretoria in 2014, a Haas Machine Training from Haas Factory Outlet South Africa in 2014, a VHF - Restricted Radio Operators License from ICASA Group in 2011, a STCW'95 (Maritime Safety Course) from Unicorn Shipping in 2011, a BMW Advanced Driver Training from BMW Group South Africa in 2010, and a RYA Coastal Skippers License from Royal Yachting Association (RYA).
