Megan Ellis

Megan Ellis has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Megan started their career in 2012 as a Lifeguard at Trenton Family Aquatic Center and later worked as a Lifeguard and Customer Service Representative at Hy-Vee. In 2016, they became a Math Tutor and also worked as a Lifeguard in their own self-employed capacity.

In 2017, Megan gained engineering experience as a Pneumatic Systems Engineering Intern at Textron Aviation. Megan then interned at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, first as a Materials Engineering Intern where they focused on 3D printing custom glass optics using direct ink write technology. In 2019, they continued their internship at the laboratory as an Additive Manufacturing and Materials Engineering Intern, where they worked on electrochemical reactor design and 3D-printing processes.

Megan's engineering career continued at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory as a Mechanical Research Engineer, a role they held from 2020 to 2023. Most recently, starting in 2023, they joined Lilac Solutions, Inc. as a Mechanical Engineer.

Megan Ellis completed their Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from UC San Diego in the year 2020. Megan'ssecondary education includes attending Trenton High School from 2010 to 2014.
