Adriana Lopez Hernandez

Adriana Lopez Hernandez has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Adriana'smost recent position is as an Operation Partnerships Manager at Lime since September 2022. Previously, they worked as an International Agenda Coordinator at Equidad de Género: ciudadanía, trabajo y familia from October 2020 to September 2022.

From 2019 to 2020, Adriana served as the Disaster Risk Management Coordinator at Ruta Cívica A.C., where they focused on improving the quality of life in Mexico City through research and proposals in areas such as mobility, housing, and urban development.

At WRI México, they held the role of Coordinator of Urban Development Policies from 2018 to 2019. During this time, Adriana organized engagement activities, coordinated capacity building workshops, and facilitated connections between funding partners and City-members as part of the Cities4Forests network.

In 2017, Adriana worked as the Director of Operations at Secretaría de Desarrollo Social with responsibilities including research, proposals, and reengineering of processes within the Ministry to improve communication and performance.

Adriana also gained experience at Secretaría de Desarrollo Agrario, Territorial y Urbano (SEDATU) in various roles. As a Foreign policy and international cooperation advisor at the Minister's office from 2015 to 2017, Adriana focused on international cooperation, UN agency coordination, and the preparation of Mexico's participation in the United Nations Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development (Habitat III).

Before that, at SEDATU, they served as an Advisor to the Deputy Minister of Urban Development and Housing from 2014 to 2015. Adriana played a key role in Mexico's participation in the preparatory process towards Habitat III and in providing advice for the definition of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda.

Adriana's earlier experience includes working as a transport sector consultant at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH from 2013 to 2015, where they focused on analyzing sustainability and good governance in urban transport.

Adriana'scareer began at SAT - Servicio de Administración Tributaria in 2009, where they served as the Chief of the Department of International Tax Legal Affairs Administration until 2011. In this role, they provided interpretations of international treaties and domestic law, evaluated projects for treaties, and proposed rulings on tax and trade issues.

Adriana Lopez Hernandez's education history includes a variety of degrees and field of study. Adriana attended the Hertie School of Governance from 2011 to 2013, obtaining a Master of Public Policy degree with a focus on Transportation and Urban Planning. In 2012, they also completed a Master's degree in Urban Planning from UCLA. Before that, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México from 2006 to 2011. In 2008, they briefly attended the HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management for a Master's degree in Business/Managerial Economics. Additionally, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Business/Trade/Commerce from Tecnológico de Monterrey from 2004 to 2008. In 2007, they also had a short-term experience as a Bachelor's degree student in International Finance at Sciences Po.
