Shari Shapiro has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Shari is currently the Head of Global Policy at Lime, a role they have held since August 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Global Market Development from September 2021 to August 2022. Before joining Lime, Shari worked as the Senior Director of Global Market Development from March 2021 to September 2021. Shari also held the position of Senior Director of Global Fleet Expansion & Regulatory Excellence at Lime from October 2019 to March 2021, where they worked with Lime's teams worldwide to introduce and expand scooter fleets while analyzing and sharing best practices in micromobility regulation.
Earlier in their career, Shari held various roles at Uber, including Head of Public Affairs for Pennsylvania and Delaware from May 2016 to September 2018. In this role, they led Uber's state and local government affairs, spearheaded the campaign to pass legislation legalizing ridesharing in Pennsylvania, and oversaw policy and government affairs for autonomous vehicles in the region.
Before joining Uber, Shari was the President and Founder of Calliope Policy Advisers from July 2014 to May 2016. Shari also worked as a Member (Partner) at Cozen O'Connor from March 2011 to July 2014, and as an Attorney at Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP from August 2005 to March 2011.
Shari began their career as a Paralegal at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP and later worked as a Strategy Consultant at PwC Consulting.
Shari Shapiro has a J.D. degree in Law from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University, majoring in Development Studies and History. Additionally, they hold a certification as a LEED Accredited Professional from the United States Green Building Council.
