Decio Lima is a Senior Research Scientist at LiNa Energy since November 2021, focusing on novel sodium-metal-chloride battery research and development. Previously, Decio was a PhD Research Student at Lancaster University from October 2017 to July 2022, where research centered on sensing water accumulation and transport in proton exchange membrane fuel cells using THz radiation. Following this, Decio served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Lancaster University, conducting in situ quality inspections of catalyst variations in fuel cell membranes with terahertz spectroscopy, and worked as a Laboratory Demonstrator for process engineering fundamentals. Earlier experience includes a role as a Research Fellow at Universidade de Coimbra, researching heavy metal recovery from aqueous solutions, and as a Telecommunications Operator at SFera ultimate. Decio holds a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidade de Coimbra and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Lancaster University.
