Kailaigh Hutchens has a diverse work experience spanning over 13 years. Kailaigh currently holds the position of Senior Curriculum Developer at Linchpin Solutions, Inc. since September 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Booz Allen Hamilton as a Joint Interoperability Division Instructor from March 2016 to September 2020. Before their role at Booz Allen Hamilton, Kailaigh served in the United States Air Force, where they held various roles. From November 2013 to October 2015, they were the NCOIC of the Joint Interface Control Cell/Systems Integration, managing a 15-member team and supporting recon and counterdrug missions. From October 2009 to October 2013, they were the NCOIC of Data Link Operations/Tracking Technician, overseeing 5 crews and ensuring mission support. From September 2007 to October 2009, they worked as an Interface Control Technician/Surveillance Technician, supporting tactical mission training and Link 16 operations. Additionally, they also provided support at the Eastern Air Defense Sector for Operation Noble Eagle.

Kailaigh Hutchens completed a Bachelor's degree in Homeland Security from American Military University in 2015. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Air and Space Operations Technology from the Community College of the Air Force in 2014. In addition to their formal education, Kailaigh has obtained multiple certifications in various fields such as project management, agile methodologies, business analysis, human resources, process improvement, and more. The most recent certification they acquired was "Designing Scenario-Based Learning" from LinkedIn in December 2022.
