Melanie Cowell

Melanie Cowell is an experienced professional in the fields of equality, diversity, and inclusion, currently serving as Director at CICQ since 2023 and as Owner of Mel Cowell Artist since 2020. With a longstanding role at Lincolnshire Police since February 2009, Melanie Cowell advises the Chief Officer Group on diversity matters and leads various strategies related to equality and inclusion. Prior to this, Melanie Cowell held the position of Equality and Diversity Officer at City of Lincoln Council from March 2004 to January 2010, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, and served as Rural Access Project Manager at Lincolnshire Association of Disabled People from January 2002 to March 2004, overseeing project management and volunteer development. Melanie Cowell holds a BA Hons degree in Sociology from The University of Sheffield.
