Shakirah Islam

Shakirah Islam has a diverse professional background with extensive experience in education and project management. Since June 2016, Shakirah has served as a Project Leader, Consultant, and Site Manager at Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes, focusing on improving student achievement through quality instruction and mentorship. Previous roles include an internship at Positive World Enterprises, instructing English at TNTP Teaching Fellows, and leading academic programs at Citizen Schools, where data analysis was utilized to enhance student performance. Shakirah’s early career includes positions in community organizing and administrative support, showcasing a commitment to education and community development. Shakirah holds a BA in English and Africana Studies from Rutgers University and has completed training at Digital Film Academy.
