Ida Edskär started their career as a Trainee Structural Engineer at SWECO Structures AB in 2010 and 2011. Ida then joined SWECO Structures AB as a Structural Engineer from 2012 to 2019. Simultaneously, they worked as a Researcher and Ph.D. Student at Luleå tekniska universitet from 2012 to 2020, specializing in timber structures. Since 2019, they have been working at Lindbäcks, starting as a Structural Engineer and later taking on roles such as Acting Head of Research and Development and currently serves as the Technical Manager/Head of R&D.
Ida Edskär completed their high school education in 2007 at Tannbergsskolan in Lycksele, where they graduated from the Technology program with a focus on Informatics and University preparation.
Ida went on to pursue their higher education at Luleå University of Technology. From 2007 to 2012, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Architecture and Structural Engineering. Following this, they continued their academic journey at the same university and completed a Teknologie doktor (Doctor of Technology) degree in Wood Construction from 2012 to 2019.
