Alex Tharp

Alex Tharp has been working in the tech industry since 2005. In that year, they created the online RPG "Steel Warrior" using Visual Basic, DirectX, Winsock, and MySQL. From 2009 to 2011, they worked at Soft Solutions, Inc. as a Software Developer, where they developed a new replacement product, provided technical support, and wrote shopping cart software. From 2011 to 2019, they worked at CareerBuilder, where they served as an Engineering Lead, Software Engineer II, and Software Engineer I. During their time at CareerBuilder, they created the Cortex CMS, an open source platform designed to be configurable, extensible, multitenant, modular, and plugins-based. In 2019, they joined Dribbble as a Senior Software Engineer, where they built numerous core platform and talent recruitment features. In 2020, they became an Engineering Manager and Senior Full Stack Engineer at Calendly. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Linden Lab as a Staff Engineer.

Alex Tharp graduated from Brookwood High School in 2008.
