Chase Gurcan

Chase Gurcan is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in validation and software testing. Currently serving as a Staff Validation Engineer at Proterra Inc since July 2022, Chase previously held the role of Senior Validation Engineer at Rivian from August 2021 to July 2022, and prior to that, served as a Software Test Engineer and Manufacturing Engineer Intern at Rivian. Chase's academic background includes a Master of Science in Automotive Engineering Technology from Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Sciences/Applied Mathematics from Assumption University. Notably, during an internship at Brookhaven National Laboratory, Chase conducted research focused on object detection and deep learning algorithms related to nuclear material surveillance, achieving significant accuracy with advanced algorithms. Additionally, Chase was a scholarship athlete in NCAA Division II Men's Soccer during time at Assumption College.
