Shasta L.

Shasta L. began their career in 2000 as a Backend Development Engineer at Tencent, where they were responsible for the development and maintenance of the company's website, the implementation of the website, testing, and the maintenance and upgrading of the existing website. In 2008, they joined Linden Lab as a Software Engineer, then was promoted to Team Lead, Extraction, where they worked with their team to develop golang REST apis that solved the needs of Second Life and Sansar. Additionally, they created a stakeholders meeting to help keep various internal stakeholders apprised of progress and priorities. Finally, they were promoted to Metaverse Senior Engineering Manager.

Shasta L. completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering and Science from Xiamen University between 1996 and 2000. Shasta then went on to earn a Master of Computer Applications - MCA with a major in Mathematics and Computational Finance from Columbia University between 2004 and 2006.
