Steeltoe Rigney began their career as the Head of Web Design for Enron in 1997. Steeltoe was responsible for building an in-house agency to create web presences for 10+ business units and was hands-on in creative, copywriting, and coding. In 2002, they moved to San Francisco and began consulting and freelance work for companies such as ADP and AT&T Wireless, as well as a number of startups. In 2011, they became the Manager of Product & UX Design for Linden Lab, where they reported to the VP of Product and led the design of Second Life. Steeltoe was responsible for dreaming big and being part of product strategy and brand, as well as doing hands-on design of a variety of social features, advanced and esoteric tools for content creation, and bridging app-based and web-based platforms.
Steeltoe Rigney obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Rice University.
