Joanne Alvey

Joanne first joined Linder Myers in June 2010 as a Solicitor within the Employment department, headed by Alan Lewis – a Legal 500 Leading Individual. Working for both employees and employers on a number of complex cases, Joanne worked with Linder Myers until May 2014, following the birth of her second child. Following her maternity leave, Joanne opted to take a two-year career break to look after her two young children. However, in November 2015, she took a position to work on a self-employed basis. In October 2019 Joanne made the decision to return to Linder Myers as an associate within the Employment department, and again working under Alan Lewis. Joanne is passionate about pregnancy-related cases within employment law, having successfully won numerous cases surrounding this issue. She is also trained in general mediation with the hope to complete a workplace mediation course to offer to potential clients. In April 2022, Joanne became a Principal Lawyer within the employment department.
