J. Brandon Nelson

J. Brandon Nelson has a strong background in DSP and Embedded Systems Engineering. J. Brandon has worked at Yamaha Guitar Group as the Director of DSP and Embedded Systems Engineering since 2018. Prior to this, they held the same role at Line 6 from 2015 to 2018, where they led a team of 15 engineers and worked on various platforms and technologies. Before their time at Line 6, Nelson worked as a Senior Software Engineer at 2GIG Technologies, Inc. from 2013 to 2015, focusing on embedded Linux applications and DSP algorithms. J. Brandon also has experience as a Senior DSP Engineer at Line 6 from 2008 to 2013 and as a DSP Engineer at Harman Music Group from 2005 to 2008, both of which involved designing and developing digital audio processing algorithms. Nelson's career began as a Research Assistant at the Center for Advanced Imaging Ladar - Utah State University in 2004.

J. Brandon Nelson obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Utah State University from 1998 to 2003. J. Brandon continued their education at the same institution and earned a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Digital Signal and Image Processing from 2003 to 2006.
