Shawn Tsai

Shawn Tsai is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in data science, machine learning, and software engineering. Currently serving as the Technical Director of the Data Team at LINE, Shawn has led enterprise-wide AI transformation initiatives and operationalized AI technologies to enhance product experiences. Previously held roles at LINE include Senior Engineering Manager and Tech Lead, where Shawn built and managed data engineering teams and developed a deep learning-based chatbot. Prior experience at Yahoo! Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer involved developing major news and media platforms, including the Yahoo! Front Page and Blog Platform, with a focus on agile processes and continuous integration. Shawn began a career in software engineering at Acer, where responsibilities included constructing information systems for government and enterprise clients. Shawn holds both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Information Management from National Taiwan University.
