Crystal Larson, MSW, LCSW

Crystal Larson, MSW, LCSW has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of social work. Crystal currently holds the position of Community Training Program Manager at Lines for Life, where they are responsible for developing and leading a statewide effort to embed suicide intervention training into communities across Oregon. Their role includes supporting various organizations and providing direct training to community members to enhance their knowledge and skills in mental health and suicide prevention.

In addition to their role at Lines for Life, Crystal is also an Adjunct Professor of Social Work at George Fox University. Crystal has been teaching since January 2021, utilizing their expertise to educate and mentor aspiring social workers.

At Adams County Government, Crystal worked as a Social Case Worker III for Youth in Transition, providing case management and supervision to adolescents in out-of-home care from July 2016 to October 2017.

Crystal has also had the opportunity to work as a Case Manager in the Independent Living Program at LifeWorks NW from December 2015 to June 2016. In this role, they implemented service plans, facilitated workshops, and provided individualized case management services to foster youth. Crystal also worked as a QMHA, On-Call Clinical Support at LifeWorks NW from July 2015 to May 2016, supporting youth stepping down from mental health hospitalization.

Additionally, Crystal has experience as a Service Coordinator and QMHA, BSW at LifeWorks NW from June 2014 to June 2015, where they worked with transitional age youth experiencing homelessness and mental health disparities.

Crystal's earlier work experience includes an internship as a Planning and Leadership Intern at Portland Women's Crisis Line and a social work internship at Multnomah County.

Before entering the field of social work, Crystal had internships at George Fox University as a Spiritual Life Chaplain and Office Assistant, where they provided spiritual counseling, outreach, and ministry, and as a Teacher's Assistant, assisting a communication arts professor with research and administrative tasks.

Crystal Larson, MSW, LCSW received their Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree from George Fox University, where they studied Social Work from 2010 to 2014. Crystal then pursued a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree in Planning and Leadership in Communities and Organizations from Portland State University from 2015 to 2016. Crystal has obtained several certifications, including being a Certified Mental Health First Aid Trainer from Mental Health First Aid since October 2020, a Certified QPR Trainer from the QPR Institute since May 2020, and becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from the Oregon Board of Licensed Social Workers in January 2020.
