Taha Jirjees

Taha Jirjees has a diverse work experience in the field of data engineering and analysis. Taha started their career as a Data Analyst at PredictifyMe in 2015 and then moved on to work as a Data Analyst at Digitegra in 2016. In 2018, they joined HERE Technologies as a Working Student in Application Analytics, where they coded and maintained Luigi-based data pipelines and contributed to data-driven architectural decisions. In 2020, Taha joined Lingoda GmbH as a Junior Data Engineer, where they worked on existing Airflow data pipelines, created a 'utils' module for frequently used code blocks, and implemented data quality metrics in Grafana. Taha later transitioned into the role of Data Engineer at Lingoda GmbH in 2021, where they developed a test factory using Jinja2 and Python for automating the creation of tests for Airflow DAGs and contributed to various data infrastructure tasks, including maintaining pipelines, launching EC2 instances, and creating a Redshift Data Lake as a centralized repository for structured and unstructured data. Taha also played a key role in the migration from ETL to ELT tech stack.

Taha Jirjees holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Technische Universität Berlin, which they obtained between 2017 and 2020. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science at SZABIST from 2010 to 2015. In addition to their formal education, Taha has acquired various certifications including "dbt Fundamentals" from dbt Labs in August 2022, "Tableau 10 A-Z: Hands-On Tableau Training for Data Science" from Udemy in January 2017, and several Coursera Course Certificates in subjects such as Exploratory Data Analysis, Regression Models, Statistical Inference, Getting and Cleaning Data, R Programming, and The Data Scientist's Toolbox, all obtained in 2016.
