Jennifer Tkachuk-Tremblay Stasiewich

Jennifer is the Founder & CEO of Somm, a Toronto-based tech company that brings innovation to the culinary and hospitality industry, focused first on wine. With a grand vision to own the category of taste, Somm works for consumers and enterprises alike, and in 2021 was named by the CIX as one of Canada’s Top 20 Early Stage tech companies in Canada. In addition to Somm, Jennifer is the Managing Partner of PureInvest Inc., a consultancy she founded that works with Pre-Seed to Series B, venture-backed, tech companies.

From 2018 to 2020, she was also the Head of Capital Markets and Business Development for Delphia Inc., a Silicon Valley Y-Combinator and VC backed fintech company based in Toronto, and prior to Delphia she led the Capital Markets division of a Canadian cryptocurrency company. Before jumping into the start-up space, Jennifer worked in institutional finance and investing with some of the most successful asset managers and financial institutions in the world. At 26, Jennifer was the VP for TD Securities’ electronic/algorithmic trading team and earlier in her career, she worked for Scotia Capital in institutional sell-side equity research, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan in Private Equity, and she was Head of Broker Sales for a TSX competitor.

Jennifer has been working with Link since 2018, she also serves on the board of ZeroBeta (fintech), and she is an Advisor on the University of Alberta’s Business Advisory Council. In 2017, Jennifer was the only Canadian nominated for the US-based Market’s Media Women in Finance Award, and she was the only Canadian to win New York’s Trader Magazine and Market’s Media Rising Star Award. In 2016, Jennifer was the recipient of Canada’s prestigious Women in Capital Markets Emerging Leaders Award.
