Steve Corbato is an experienced technology leader with a strong background in research computing and advanced networking. Currently serving as the Executive Director of the Oregon Fiber Partnership at Oregon Health and Science University since July 2015, Steve oversees the deployment of a new statewide optical network to support broadband needs for Oregon’s research universities and public sector entities. Additionally, Steve holds a 20% commitment as the Director of Research Computing at the same institution. Prior roles include positions at the University of Utah where Steve served as Deputy Chief Information Officer and Executive Director of Cyberinfrastructure, among other titles, and at Internet2, where responsibilities included managing the backbone network infrastructure. Steve's career began at the University of Washington and NorthWestNet, and Steve has a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in Physics from Rice University.

We are a consortium of Oregon’s 4 largest research universities (Oregon State, OHSU, Portland State, & University of Oregon) and the State of Oregon's Enterprise Information Services.
