Gustav Friis has been involved in the tech industry since 2015. Gustav began their career as a Project Coordinator at the Copenhagen School of Entrepreneurship. In 2016, they joined brainbot technologies AG as Strategy & Process Design, helping to fundraise $100+ million for the Raiden Project and scaling the company from 7 to 40 employees within 2 years. In 2017, they took on the role of Project Lead at Trustlines Network, co-authoring the whitepaper, shipping the first MVP of the protocol / product and presenting at industry events. In 2018, they became Co-Founder of Linkdrop. Gustav also became Tech Advisor at Mustardseed Trust in 2019. In 2020, they took on roles as Angel Investor for MetaCartel (metacartel.org) and Product Developer and Business Operations for NEAR Protocol. Finally, in 2022, they became Co-Founder of NEARWEEK.
Gustav Friis obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Politicial & Social Science from Roskilde University between 2011 and 2014. Gustav then completed an exchange program at Universidad Austral, Buenos Aires, also obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Social & Political Sciences in 2012-2013. In 2014-2016, they earned a Master's Degree in Management of Creative Business Process from Copenhagen Business School. In 2016, they attended the European Blockchain Summer School at IT-Universitetet i København. In 2018, they were Certified Scrum Product Owner by Jeff Sutherland in person from Scrum, Inc. Gustav also has certifications from Blockchainschool.eu from IT University of Copenhagen (2016) and Social and Complementary Currencies from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.
