Søren Bjørnbo Engel

Søren Bjørnbo Engel has been working in the tech industry since 2007. Søren began their career as a Software Test Assistent at Auditdata A/S in 2007. Søren then worked as a Software Analyst and Software Developer (Part-time) at Nexcom A/S from 2008 to 2014. During this time, they were responsible for developing new and existing software solutions, as well as developing back-end services for eTray's eco-system. In 2014, they became a Consultant, Senior Developer, and Developer at Netcompany A/S, where they were responsible for web-development and custom web applications. From 2015 to 2017, they were a System Consultant at Pentia. In 2017, they joined Sitecore as an Engineering Manager, Enterprise Architect, and Software Architect. Most recently, they have been the Head of Engineering at Linkfire since 2021. Additionally, they have held teaching assistant roles at IT-Universitetet i København since 2010.

Søren Bjørnbo Engel holds a Bachelor degree in Software Development from IT-Universitetet i København, obtained between 2009 and 2012. Søren also holds a HTX degree in Mathematics and Physics from Erhvervsskolen Hamlet in Helsingør, obtained between 2003 and 2006. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Sitecore® XP 8 Website Development for .NET Developers from Sitecore in October 2016, Intro to HTML and CSS from Udacity in September 2009, JavaScript Basics from Udacity in September 2009, and The Art of Unit Testing & TDD Master Class in .NET from Udemy.
