Elyssa McDowell

Elyssa McDowell currently serves as the Venture Academics Strategic Partnerships Coordinator at Linn-Mar Community Schools, a position held since August 2020, where responsibilities include overseeing program budget procurement and facilitating over 120 community interactions annually for students. Previously, as an Administrative Assistant, Elyssa coordinated enrollments, attendance, and communications for 1,000 K-6th virtual students, while also implementing new inventory software in collaboration with IT and software vendors. Between August 2009 and August 2020, Elyssa operated as a self-employed artist, managing all aspects of the business, including tax code compliance, expense tracking, and e-commerce through an Etsy storefront.
