About The Team: LINQ is at the forefront of EdTech where innovation meets practicality. We are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of engineering excellence and are in search of a Senior Director, Engineering on our Payments team.

About The Position: The ideal candidate will lead the strategy and execution of Payment Applications and Infrastructure for our software suite. The candidate will have deep technical acumen to oversee and expand our payment systems and the leadership skills to cultivate and direct our team of engineers. 

What You'll Be Doing: • Lead strategy and direction as well as drive excellence in the Payment Infrastructure space.  • Lead the execution of technology strategy and vision with an emphasis on delivering transformational change.  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of payment processing systems, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability.  • Oversee the health of our payment processing environments through operational leadership of our external and internal payment platforms.  • Maintain core payment infrastructure that supports customer-facing environments.  • Manage and own both production and non-production environments for use in payment processing, debugging, and testing.  • Diagnose and correct issues related to health, reliability, and scale to address customer-impacting issues.  • Leveraging a DevOps mindset to build quality products and consistent deployments. 

What We Are Looking For: • 7+ years of experience in payment systems engineering or a related field.  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing and developing engineering teams.  • Expertise building, managing, and supporting mission-critical and high-volume cloud native applications.  • A versatile leader that can lead strategic discussions and execute technical activities in the same afternoon.  • Experience working with card networks, card processors, and payment gateways, and mobile payment services.  • Familiarity with machine learning and data analytics as they relate to payment systems and anomaly detection. 

What Will Make You Stand Out; • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar engineering discipline. • Experience with mobile payment solutions and digital wallets.  • Strong knowledge of payment processing technologies (protocols, and standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, EMV,).
