April Van Overbake

April Van Overbake has over 10 years of work experience. In 2007, they began their career as an Assistant Director of Admissions at The Art Institute of Colorado. April then went on to pursue their graduate degree in School Counseling at Nova Southeastern University in 2009. During their studies, they completed an internship at Nova High School as a Counseling Intern in 2011. After graduating, they began working as a Guidance Counselor at Gaston County Schools in 2012. In 2015, they became a Professional School Counselor at Independence High School. Later that same year, they began working as an Advertising Sales Executive at Carma Productions, Inc. In 2016, they joined Verizon Connect as a Senior Business Development Representative and Trainer, Sales Learning & Development. In 2019, they joined Spectrio as a Consumer Marketing Consultant. In 2020, they began working as an Account Manager at DoubleRadius, Inc. and is currently a Senior Business Development Representative at Linxup.

April Van Overbake obtained a Master of Science in School and Guidance Counseling from Nova Southeastern University between 2009 and 2011. April also obtained a B.S. in Psychology, Anthropology, and Women's Studies from Loyola University Chicago between 2002 and 2006. In 2005, they attended the John Felice Rome Center. In July 2012, they obtained a Professional Educator - Counseling certification from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.
