Nishal Dayarathna

Nishal Dayarathna has a diverse work experience. Nishal began working at OREL Corporation in 2013 as an R&D Electrical Engineer, where they were involved in the development of electronic products using microcontrollers and software development. Then, in 2014, they worked at the University of Moratuwa as an Electrical Engineer, where they helped establish the Robotics & Control Laboratory and worked on factory automation setups. Nishal joined Unilever in 2015 as an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer, where they focused on PLC programming and HMI development for tube filling machines. In 2019, they became a Senior Automation Engineer at Midas Safety, working on automation projects using robots and implementing fire detection systems. Currently, they are the Vice President of Electrical Engineering at Lion Brewery, where they provide engineering support for brewing and processing systems.

Nishal Dayarathna began their education at Siridhamma College from 1998 to 2006, where they completed their primary and secondary schooling. In 2008, Nishal obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (B.Sc Engineering - Hons) from the University of Moratuwa. After their undergraduate studies, Nishal pursued further education and completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David between 2017 and 2019. It is worth noting that Nishal also obtained a certification in B.Sc Engineering (Hons) from the University of Moratuwa in June 2008.
