Sr. Director, Relationship Marketing at Lion Electric

Jo Allan has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several industries. Jo (Josephine) began their career at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where they held various B2B sales and marketing roles and received awards for their performance. Jo then moved on to Samsung Electronics as a Marketing Manager, overseeing wireless products. Jo (Josephine) later joined Koodo Mobile as a Marketing Director for the Retail Channel.

Jo then transitioned to InterContinental Hotels Group, where they served as the Regional VP of Digital, Loyalty, and Partner Marketing. During their time there, they led successful multi-channel marketing campaigns and achieved significant increases in brand consideration and social media engagement.

Continuing their career, Jo joined Aimia Inc as the Director of Loyalty Design and Travel Partnerships. Jo (Josephine) focused on driving revenue and increasing customer engagement for clients in the travel sector.

In 2016, Jo became the Associate Vice-President of Marketing for the FGL Sports Franchise Division at Canadian Tire Corporation. Jo (Josephine) led the marketing strategy for retail banners such as Sports Experts and Atmosphere.

Following their tenure at Canadian Tire, Jo worked as an independent marketing consultant before joining RELATION1 as the VP of Marketing and Customer Success. Jo (Josephine) also held the position of Sr. Director of Consulting Services, where they provided strategic solutions to clients and created thought leadership content.

Jo then joined BIXI-Montréal as the Director of Strategic Planning, Communications, and Brand Marketing. Jo (Josephine) was responsible for redesigning the marketing strategy, resulting in a significant increase in digital marketing metrics.

Currently, Jo works at Lion Electric as Sr. Director of Relationship Marketing. Jo (Josephine) leads integrated marketing strategies across owned and paid channels for the mid-stage startup that manufactures commercial electric vehicles.

Jo (Josephine) Allan has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Marketing from York University. Jo (Josephine) also holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree with a specialization in Marketing/Marketing Management from McMaster University. In addition to their formal education, Jo has obtained several certifications, including an AI for Marketers certification, an AI for Personal Productivity certification, a Generative AI Business Strategy certification, a Marketing Strategist Certificate, and a Storytelling for Influence certification. Jo (Josephine) is also a Section4 Certified Brand Strategist.
