Michael Friend is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in quality assurance and testing within the technology and gaming industries. Currently serving as VP of Global Games Test and Localization QA at Lionbridge since May 2016, Michael oversees multiple teams responsible for functional testing, localization testing, and strategic account management while collaborating with executive leadership to enhance business growth. Prior to Lionbridge, Michael held the position of Sr. Director of Quality Assurance at Edifecs, managing a large global organization and navigating significant growth. A substantial tenure at Microsoft from 1993 to 2013 included roles such as Principal SDET Manager across various divisions, where Michael played a crucial role in the successful launches of XBox, Bing, and Microsoft Speech Server, demonstrating a consistent focus on performance, reliability, and strategic leadership.
