Robin Casarjian

Founder and Executive Director at Lionheart Foundation

Robin Casarjian has over 40 years of work experience. From 1973 to 1979, Robin served as the Director of West-Ros-Park Mini School, an alternative school for children excluded from Boston Public Schools due to severe behavioral problems. In this role, Robin was responsible for selecting and implementing mental health and academic programming for students facing a wide array of psychological and learning challenges. From 1979 to 1982, Robin worked as a Therapist in a private psychotherapy practice. From 1982 to 1986, Robin worked as a Stress Management Trainer and Consultant for various corporate agencies. During this time, Robin facilitated stress management courses designed to promote health and wellness. In 1986, Robin began working as a Stress Reduction Training Facilitator for Harvard Community Health Plan. Finally, in 1992, Robin became the Founder and Executive Director of The Lionheart Foundation, an organization dedicated to the development and distribution of innovative social and emotional programming for at-risk and vulnerable populations. Robin is also the author of Houses of Healing: A Prisoner's Guide to Inner Power and Freedom (1995), which has been integrated into prison and jail programming throughout the United States.

Robin Casarjian received a B.S. in Education from Eastern Michigan University in 1970. Robin then went on to obtain an M.A. of Education from Teachers College, Columbia University in 1972. Lastly, they completed Post-Masters Study in Behavioral Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1973.
