Fred Chen

Fred Chen is a Senior Lecturer at The University of Western Australia, also working as an Ophthalmic and Vitreoretinal Surgeon at Lions Eye Institute and Royal Perth Hospital. Fred is the Head of Ocular Tissue Engineering Laboratory and was the Company Director at the Ophthalmic Research Institute of Australia. With a background in research and clinical work, their areas of expertise include retinal surgery, clinical trials for eye diseases, and promoting research into eye diseases and prevention of blindness.
