Lauren Vernea, MSLCE, is an accomplished assistant to a Motion Picture Literary Agent at WME since January 2022. Additionally, Lauren serves as a touring stand-up comedian and the Head Writer and Director of "The Black Pantherettes," an all-Black female sketch group since December 2018. Lauren has extensive experience in the entertainment industry, with prior roles including Freelance Staff Comedy Writer at Smosh, Producer at Mass Appeal, and Associate Producer for various projects, including Hulu's "Tulsa Burning: The 1921 Race Massacre." Lauren earned a Master’s Degree in Leadership for Creative Enterprises from Northwestern University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre/Theater and Political Science from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
