Matthew McLoughlin has a strong background in finance and asset management. Matthew started their career at HM Treasury, where they worked on The Budget 2003 and Euro 'Five Tests' documents. Matthew then moved to AIG, where they served as a Junior Portfolio Manager, responsible for managing various credit funds and assisting in the construction of portfolios. After that, Matthew joined RAB Capital as a Senior Trader, trading global multi-asset securities for the company's largest hedge funds. Matthew later joined Legal & General Investment Management as a Global Equity & Derivatives Trader, executing trades and suggesting trading strategies to portfolio managers. Currently, they are working at Liontrust Asset Management PLC as the Chief Commercial Officer, overseeing the commercial strategies of the group and maximizing revenue-generating opportunities. Throughout their career, Matthew has demonstrated expertise in trading, portfolio management, and strategic leadership.
Matthew McLoughlin has a Bachelor's degree in Economics, with a 2:1 classification, from the University of Surrey. Matthew obtained their degree in Economics BSc (Hons) from 2000 to 2004.
In 2006, Matthew attended IMC, where they passed their degree program.
Additionally, they have obtained three certifications from Liquidnet, namely "Headway - Phase 3" in April 2018, "Headway - Phase 2" in March 2017, and "Headway - Phase 1" in March 2016.
