James Margetts

James Margetts has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies. James started their career at JSPC Computer Services as a Field Services Engineer, where they provided IT support to schools and businesses. James then moved on to Advanced Computer Software as a 2nd-Line Service Desk Analyst, supporting high-profile clients in the finance and mining industries. Following that, James worked at IG as part of the Desktop Services team, managing project management, service desk, and desk-side assistance for international offices. James later joined KCG Holdings, Inc. as a Client Connectivity and Front Office Support Specialist, where they focused on managing and implementing complex projects and maintaining client FIX connections. Their most recent role was at Liquidnet, where they took on various positions, including Low-Touch Trading Specialist, Platform Services Team Lead, and currently, Implementation Lead. In their current role, James is responsible for equities FIX onboarding, project management, client connectivity, and front-to-back trading support. Overall, their experience includes a range of responsibilities in IT support, project management, and trading operations.

James Margetts completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sound Technology at The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts from 2005 to 2008. In addition to their degree, they obtained various certifications in the field of IT, including IT in Investment Operations from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) in August 2015, CCENT from Cisco in March 2014, IT Project Management Foundation from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT in September 2013, ITIL® Foundation (Syllabus 2011) from APMG-International in June 2013, Network+ from CompTIA in January 2013, and A+ from CompTIA in September 2006.
