Niels Nooy

Niels Nooy has extensive experience in the financial industry, with a focus on emerging markets (EM), high yield (HY), distressed debt, and fixed income trading. Niels is currently working at Liquidnet in the role of Dark Pool Trading - EM / HY / Distressed. Prior to this, they held the position of MD - EM/HY/Distressed Debt at Cambridge International Securities, LLC from May 2020 to May 2022. Before that, Niels was Head of EM Fixed Income Sales at Renaissance Capital from January 2018 to March 2020. Niels also worked at Stifel Financial Corp. as MD - EM Credit Trading EMEA from July 2013 to January 2018, and at Knight Capital Group as EM Credit Trading - EMEA from April 2011 to June 2013. Earlier in their career, Niels held roles at Merrill Lynch as EM Fixed Income Trading from September 2001 to August 2005, at ING in Emerging Markets Debt Trading from December 1992 to August 2001, and at Banque Paribas Capital Markets in Institutional Equity Sales from December 1989 to November 1992.

Niels Nooy attended Cranleigh School from 1978 to 1983. After completing high school, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management from Webster University Leiden, graduating in 1989.
