Luke Autry

Luke Autry is a highly experienced metallurgical engineer currently serving as a Senior Metallurgical Engineer at LiquidPiston since April 2023. Autry has a diverse background, including roles as Chief Engineer at Reliable Corp, Senior Technical Manager at LEACH GARNER CO, and Metallurgical Engineer at Sigmund Cohn Corp. Autry's consulting work since 2014 encompasses casting defects, coating failures, materials selection, and friction/wear issues. Previous experience includes superconducting and metal matrix composite development at Luvata, new alloy development at Deringer-Ney, and research at the University of Connecticut's Institute of Materials Science. Autry holds a PhD in Materials Engineering, an MS in Metallurgy & Materials Engineering, and a BS in Chemical & Materials Engineering, all from the University of Connecticut.
